Your music and videos, right from the notch

Somewhere in one of your tabs, a video is still playing. SideDock knows which one, and pauses it without you hunting for it.

What’s playing, by the camera

Play something in Music, Spotify or your browser and the notch shows it: the cover on one side, a little wave dancing on the other. Hover the notch and Home opens with the song, its controls and a bigger cover.

YouTube and Netflix, too

SideDock reads the video player in your browser, so Now Playing pauses and resumes YouTube or Netflix in the tab that’s actually playing, not whatever tab is in front. (Skipping isn’t supported for videos, so that button stays hidden.)

Full screen means full screen

Watching a film full screen? The media bar steps out of the notch until you’re back. Music, and videos in a window, keep their spot.

Where the sound goes

Switch to your AirPods and the notch says where the sound went, with their battery. The Sound widget switches the output, its volume and your microphone in one click.

The last cover stays

When the music stops, the last cover stays in Now Playing, so picking up where you left off is one click away.

Or just ask

Press ⌃⌥Space and ask Pip: “play some lo-fi on YouTube”, “put on some jazz on Spotify”, “pause the music”. It finds it, starts it, and only says it’s playing once it actually is.
